Mrs. & Mommyhood
What a fun and challenging dance.
I am the luckiest girl in the world to be married to my best friend. Together we are raising a beautiful ball of energy named Daisy.
Learning to balance Mommyhood and being a Mrs. takes a good sense of humor!!!
Nothing is more fun and teaches you more life lessons then being a newlywed and a mom.
You fall head over heels in love with two entirely different people. Its like walking around with sexy lingerie and Uggs on. One makes you feel beautiful and the other makes you comfortable and learning to rock them together is where the magic happens.
It's amusing at times to witness Daisy use her fingers, toes, elbow and knees to slowly pry me out of the way when I am snuggled up with "Her" Papi.
I can only hope that she marries someone as amazing, loving, understanding and compassionate as her dad.
"Naps" no longer have the same fun connotation and really turn into naps...for everyone.
Even though the customary two year newlywed clock ended I still feel butterflies in my stomach when I see my husband calling or know I am about to see him.
Date nights end before midnight but I get to kiss two beautiful people every night.
Even though I said I wouldn't let being a mom change me or my relationship it has done both and I am completely okay with that because I know I am a better wife, mother and person because of it.
I don't like change. I never have.
But, I gave my heart to someone who asked me to take a leap of faith and it has transformed my life into my own personal fairytale.
I remember my husband saying to me years ago, "Don't be afraid to be happy."
I was afraid. But, now, God Bless the Broken Road that led me straight to you. I had nothing to fear but fear itself.
Mrs.
For better or worse I promise I will always look at you the way I look at food coming at a restaurant.
Mommyhood
If it doesn’t thrill you and scare you at the same time it’s probably not worth doing.
